Ancient weapon
hi explorers,
i was wandering into the undead city in the arid sea region, when i found this:   is this a part of a quest? or can someone tell me what it is? lol ain't got a clue and i want to know!  cheers |

The Ancient Weapon is a mysterious bundle that spawns in the northwest corner of the Arid Sea, inside the city guarded by the Enchanted. Specifically, in an alley east of the main square, a little north of the bleached bones. It does not spawn until the player approaches the location.
The item appears to be remarkedly similar to the Ark of the Covenant (the orange is supposed to be a glowing gold like color) and has a column of flame softly emanating from the main body (see the glow in the pic). Some players claim the artifact is used in a quest, but none have been able to identify which. Yannel Brunn speaks of weapons strong enough to destroy his civilization, but the Ancient Weapon does not seem to interest him. It disappears if carried out of the zone. In all my times of going around to the middle of nowhere, I have actually never seen this ancient weapon. Strange one it is, but I don't think it actually has anything to do with a quest, just yet. Might be something later.

The adrid sea was an area used in the beta events for chapter 1. This may have been something that was never removed but has no use now.
